Amanda and Witt, Memphis Engagement Photo

This past weekend, we headed over to Memphis, Tennessee to take some engagement photographs for Amanda and Witt. This was a special portrait session for us, as Amanda is Bryant’s older sister. Anytime Bryant needs advice or just wants to talk to someone, he will call his big sister (and they always sound so excited to be on the phone). Part of each others’ favorite parts of their family get togethers is being able to see each other and just hang out.

The first few photographs are included to show how Witt proposed to her: he tied the ring on a pink ribbon around the neck of their dog, Sophie (Amanda said, “Sophie and I are a package deal.”), and when Sophie ran to the door to greet Amanda as she came home… It was the perfect proposal. The rest is history.

What a weekend, I am so happy that I found enough time to go see my sister and soon to be brother in Memphis. I finally got a chance to hang out with Witt without being surrounded by other distractions. They spoiled us with tons of delicious food. We had donuts from Gibsons, BBQ from Central BBQ, dinner at ciao-bella and Spindinis and dessert at The Cheese Cake Corner. Not to mention I tried my best to eat a whole gallon of Blue Bell Cookie Dough Ice Cream. Basically I gained a few pounds within just a couple of days. With all that time eating, I was able to get to know Witt and find out how perfect my sister and him are together.

Bridesmaid Invites, My Sister’s Wedding, Memphis Wedding Photographer

On the last day of the year (that’s right, on New Years Eve), my wonderful sister Amanda is getting married to an awesome man, Wit. I can think of no better way to be a part of it than to photograph everything: all of the planning and preparing. I will be there, with my family, sharing and capturing all of the little moments that make the day special and memorable. Since I imagine there will be lots of photos and blog posts relating to it, I figured I would give it its own category, My Sister’s Wedding. That way my family and friends can keep up and look back.

So to kick it off, my sister asked my girlfriend, Sarah, if she would be a Bridesmaid…. With a bottle of her favorite wine and a nice handwritten card.
